Since development of the AR platform, operators have dealt with the same fatal flaw. Charging handle snags that cause unwanted weapon charging, rendering the gun unusable from being locked out of battery or causing a jam/malfunction. Our patent pending design features a dual locking mechanism that has finally solved this decades long issue. Deadlock™ utilizes a conveniently located button at the rear of the charging handle that must be depressed for the handle to operate as intended. This feature can also be bypassed should the operator choose by pinning the button in the depressed position with included roll pin.
